AECCIMPORTSTYLES and AECCIMPORTSTYLESANDSETTINGS Undocumented Commands
Civil 3D 2011 ships with two undocumented commands exposed – AECCIMPORTSTYLES and AECCIMPORTSTYLESANDSETTINGS. Each of the commands can only be found on the command line, which means they can be scripted easily, but they don’t have an interface.
They each have their own little peculiarities, but I think by name alone you can figure out what they do. Be careful though, without an interface, and without options, using the commands will overwrite anything in your current drawing. But that may be just what you need.
Type the command and you’ll be prompted with (Windows 7): Enter path for template file
Your screen will blink for a couple seconds, but then check out your Settings tab!
Again, the commands are undocumented and unsupported – Use them at your own risk of course, and test them before trying them in production. We’ve seen commands like this exposed in the past. And in many cases they lead to great things to come!
Cheers!

These are awesome commands but just to share with everyone an issue I was having with “AECCIMPORTSTYLES”
I setup an action recorder macro that would use this command to import settings from a template shared on our network. It apears that everytime someone ran this command, the file that it was pulling the settings from acted as though it was open by someone and set to read only. I had to get IT involved to get the file unlocked.
So I have stopped using this command because out template file, that is always growing, kept on getting locked and I was not able to edit the file without having a network guy fixing the file.
This is a great command though and I hope all the issues get fixed, hopefully in this release. weather through service pack or subscription update.
