Civil 3D Books & Amazon

I have a lot of friends with top-notch Civil 3D (and related) books on the market. I often get e-mail questioning which books I think are the best, which ones are worth the money, and which ones aren’t. The reality is, dating all the way back to Gary Rosen’s Softdesk book (and beyond), I probably own them all. By the way, that book was first published 13 years ago, so it ships with a 3 1/2″ floppy. You may laugh at that, but if you’re an AE, you may not find a better resource for demo datasets.

But then I got to thinking: I also get questions regarding computers, monitors, the cheapest place to buy software – I even get questions regarding MP3 players, speakers, tv’s (plasma vs. LCD – oh, and I pick the plasma hands down) – everything the typical person using computer aided design technology 40 hours a week needs to have in his or her arsenal.

So I’ve decided to partner with Amazon and create a Bookstore of all the items I think you might be interested in if you’re in the design and drafting community. And trust me, the partnership won’t make me rich, that wasn’t my intent. My purpose for creating “Paving the Way” in 2005 was to create a library in the clouds for all the things that have become important to me and my work (or fun) over the course of the past 2 decades and share them with you. I hope you find the Bookstore a valuable resource for you as well.

Bookstore

Once you’re in the store, you’ll find links to several categories of items (books, software, electronics, etc.) and you’ll find a link back to Paving the Way.

Browse the store in confidence knowing you’re doing so anonymously; I’m neither tracking nor storing your personal information.

Bookstore

As a footnote: If your RSS feeds still point to the original “Civil 3D – Paving the Way,” now might be a good time to redirect your newsreader to http://blog.121pcs.com/feed/rss/
