Don Reichle
Life is too short. If you’ve been to the discussion groups, you’ve likely interacted with Don Reichle, he’s been a fixture for quite some time. Several of us received the sad news of his passing in an e-mail from his son today:
Hello, my name is Scott Reichle. I am Don Reichle’s oldest son. I am sending this e-mail to let you know that my Dad has passed away. He had a list of contacts printed out that we found with his belongings, and we weren’t sure how many of you would know that he had passed away. Please feel free to let anyone else that knew my Dad know that he is now in Heaven. I don’t know if this contact list will reach everyone that he knew because I know that he had several e-mail addresses and the contact lists my have differed one from another. Hopefully you all will be able to spread the word to reach everyone that would want to know. I am sorry to have to inform you this way, but I am sure that there are some on this list that did not know that would want to know of his Homegoing.
We had a funeral for Dad in Arizona where he was living. Pastor Larkley of his church, Faith Baptist Church, preached his funeral on Friday, June 1st, 2007. We are having his body flown to Ohio where I live to be buried. He will be buried in the same cemetery as my wife’s Father. The cause of his death was his diabetes and some other health problems he was having.
Regards,
Scott Reichle

I have read many of Don’s comments and views over the years and learned many things from his insight. The civil community has lost a mentor.
It was very kind to share the news…I’m very, very sorry about your Dad. In the short time I’ve been blogging and relying on discussion groups, I know a lot of people only by the posts they leave behind. I’ll miss them.
I hope you and your family have all the love and support you need…I’ll keep you in my prayers.
God bless,
Sarah Cunningham
Scott M. it was very nice of you to post this. Thanks.
To Scott R., my condolences. Your father good man. He would help anyone without asking for anything in return. The world needs more like him.
Don Reichle was a patient and willing mentor to many in the the community. He will be sorely missed by all who turned to him. My condolences to all (family and friends alike) who knew him personally.
