Permissions
Over the years this has proven to be a thorn in many sides: You have trouble starting the software, your profile is disappearing, the software doesn’t seem to have installed, etc. If you experience these issues, try logging on as either the local admin, or the domain admin (not simply a user with admin rights). If that seems to work, then usually the problem is related to permissions.
Verify the user has full read/write permissions on the following folders and Windows Registry key and the respective subfolders and subkeys:
C:\Documents and Settings\
C:\Documents and Settings\
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Autodesk
And once again, be sure to read the read.me file, and turn off the virus scanner before installing.
Cheers!
