The Big Tease

So it’s been a while, eh? I go through a period of time each year it seems, where I get into this current software kinda funk. Looking for work-arounds for issues in the current software, knowing things get better in the next release – couple months away, but you can’t say a word, and you’re still working with a beta.

So you watch the masses spill every bit of knowledge on the table the minute they can, and you’re overloaded with information. All the steps seem to be there, but you can’t tell if she’ll dance. Maybe that’s it, maybe I’m waiting for the big dance.

My Dad told me a story once about papa bull and baby bull standing on a hill overlooking a field of cows. Baby bull says, “Papa, let’s run down and kiss one of them!” Papa bull says, “Let’s walk down, and kiss them all.”

So in retrospect, maybe that’s it, maybe I like to walk when everyone seems to be running – not that either is necessarily right or wrong.

Vista can be a bear. Vista and ADMS, and you’ll likely need a sedative. I do have ADMS running on Vista, and it wasn’t pretty, but she can dance.
